This week has been a lot of calling and reaching out to folks about visiting their church family and/or small group. Our August and September is going to be very busy sharing God's vision - Yeaaaah! We created our first Griffiths' Newsletter and Gilly has his own section called 'Gilly's View' (he had fun writing it and it's pretty silly). We were excited to see what he was going to write about and to learn about his perspective about being a missionary kid. He has received a lot of feedback and we are looking forward to next month's edition!
We visited McDonough FUMC's Missions Committee last Sunday and they were very welcoming and supportive of our ministry. Nick and I pray that this will be a partnership in the future to help us in Africa. We also made a new friend at that meeting that will hopefully open a door with the Rotary.
Big News!! We are planning a trip in October to visit Kenya! We are all VERY excited about meeting the people and experiencing the culture in Kenya. We purchased the Frommer's Guide to help us with places to stay and things to see when we visit. I love the Frommer's Guide! ( http://www.frommers.com/destinations/kenya/ ). It has awesome info and categories like: must sees, best places to stay, must eats and great finds. Hopefully, our flight will be a little less expensive - we have some angels in our midst that have offered to help with our flight via buddy passes - God really opens doors when He wants you to follow Him. Thanks to everyone for your continued support and prayers. Please continue to pray for us and, if you know anyone looking to buy a house......... I know one for sale with a pool and we will even throw in a few chickens for free. :)
