- 1.5 million children UNDER AGE FIVE die every year as a result of diseases linked to the LACK OF ACCESS to water and sanitation.
- More than ONE BILLION people still use UNSAFE sources of drinking water.
- 1 billion people LACK ACCESS to improved water and 2.5 billion people (over 40% of the world’s population) have NO ACCESS to basic sanitation.
