The Joy of the Green Light!!

Praise God and give thanks to the Lord. Today is a blessed day!  I’m over joyed by what has happened.....we’ve been given the green light by the Mission Society to depart to Kenya and purchase our airline tickets!!  We are so excited to take this next step on the path that the Lord has planned for us.  Our departure day is January 22; exactly two months away......

As we prepare to exit the United States, a place and culture we know and understand, and enter Kenya, a place and culture totally new and foreign to us, we know there will be challenges. We also know that God is with us and that He has gone before us.  We will follow His direction as we face these challenges in our new country, greeting them with joy and thanksgivings.  This brings a scripture to mind:

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."         Phil 4:4-7

Please be in prayer for us as we finalize things state-side and begin our journey of  serving our risen Savior in Kenya.  Thank you Lord for Your faithfulness and thanks to all of you that will be standing along side us!  Praise be to the Lord!
