Equipping the Saints - Halleluiah!!

Equipping the Saints - Halleluiah!!

Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.  Psalm 119:105

One of the tasks that the Lord has placed within our ministry is encouraging and equipping the Body of Christ, aka, the local church.  We praise the Lord for this challenge!
So, let me ask you a question, “How many Bibles do you own?” Three or four?  Maybe one in the King James Version and another in the New International Version?  As Americans, we have open-access to the Bible and we are very fortunate to have such access!  In Samburu (and in Kenya) the Bible is VERY difficult to come by and only the book of Luke has been translated into the Samburu language.  Nick and I ordered Bibles for a local church, in Kiswahili, and they arrived six months later.  Yes, six months later!  The entire country of Kenya was slap-out-of Kiswahili Bibles!  But again, we praise the Lord.  The Bibles arrived last week and we want to share the joy of ‘equipping the saints’ with you……….

This is Pastor Wilfred giving the, long-awaited Bibles to his church family.  We presented one Bible per family and the congregation was absolutely elated!  Most of the congregation has never had a Bible of their own and this one would be the ONLY Bible within their household for generations to come. Can you imagine that???  What a blessing to be a blessing to this church!

Nick took some time to go through how to lead a Bible study with the church, using their new Bibles.  He encouraged the congregation to use the Word of God to lead their friends and neighbors to Christ. “Halleluiah!!”, is how the congregation responded to this special gift.

We want to thank Jodeco Road UMC for raising the funds to purchase the Bibles and for blessing this church to win souls for Christ!!  Thank you for helping us to equip the saints!  JRUMC, we love you and thank you for making such a beautiful impact, here in Samburu.  Halleluiah!!
